Each resident of Orchard Park Health and Rehabilitation Center receives a comprehensive evaluation upon admittance. This evaluation includes a complete medical history, an exhaustive physical examination, a neurological/psychological screening and an in-depth interview of both the patient and family members.
Our team of nursing and rehab professionals provide medical care, IV therapy, wound care, medication administration, speech therapy, skilled nursing, cardiac care, nutrition management and hospice services.
We then assemble a treatment team for the patient. On the team are professionals from a variety of disciplines, as determined by the evaluation. Team members meet with each other, the resident and family members, to design a long-term care plan for the patient.
Residents in long-term care at Orchard Park Health and Rehabilitation Center receive a wide range of services to make their stay with us as comfortable, safe and rewarding as possible.
Social life in a long-term care setting is vitally important to the health and well-being of our residents. To ensure that our residents are happy and active, we have a social director on staff and we maintain a full schedule of activities appropriate for seniors of varying energy levels and cognitive abilities.
Games, parties, arts, crafts, movies, music, pet therapy, exercise programs - we are an active bunch here at Orchard Park Health and Rehabilitation Center! We also offer field trips and transportation off-site to local shopping centers for those residents who are able to do their own shopping.
Religious faith is source of comfort and strength for many of our residents, and we have weekly services here at the center with visiting clergy. We also offer support to any residents and families who wish to participate in spiritually-based support groups within the center.
"I love it here. I have my health, friends, a place to sit in the garden. Sometimes I even win a card game."
- Stan K.
"I would like to thank the nurses, the physical therapists, and everyone at Orchard Park Health and Rehabilitation Center who worked so hard to help me come back after I broke my hip last March. I didn't think I would ever be able to live on my own again, but now you should see me with my cane - I can even drive and do my own shopping!"
