Orchard Park Health and Rehabilitation Center has announced that it has received a deficiency-free rating in the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Annual Survey. The rating comes after a thorough, 8-day review of the center's programs and practices by state inspectors from August 15 to August 22.
According to the center's Director of Nursing Services Tracey Scuteri RN, BSN, the latest annual survey results continue Orchard Park's tradition of ensuring exemplary care for all residents. "The state inspectors evaluate everything from nursing services to our dietary department, social services, activities, administration, medical records, admissions and more. They observe our employees on the job, review documents and talk with the residents. We never know when the evaluation will happen, so the Survey is a real snapshot of what every day is like here at Orchard Park." She says that the results are a testament to "how much we care, and the consistently professional job we do day in and day out. Getting a deficiency-free rating isn't easy, and it takes a combined effort from the entire staff."
"Many staff members here would tell you they're just doing their jobs," says Orchard Park Administrator Roger Joice, "but really, every single employee has a right to be proud of these results. More importantly, this is a crucial measure to demonstrate that our residents are getting the high level of care they deserve. On behalf of the people and families we serve, we look forward to matching our accomplishment in 2012."
